Vanessa Underwood – Director of Accounting
- Nine years experience providing senior financial management for high-growth
International Companies.
- Was in charge of the International Finance Department for Home Depot in Atlanta,
where she was responsible for all financial management and reporting including strategic
and financial planning, capital budgeting and optimization of cash flows.
DeAnn Prefling – Director of Client Services
- Twenty years experience in medical and health claims processing.
- Served at Blue Shield and Health Net.
- Experienced in medical contracts, auditing, fee schedules and Medicare guidelines
enforces BRMS’ exemplary standards of knowledge, accuracy and cost-savings.
- A seasoned manager overseeing Customer Support, Claims and COBRA.
Julie Mendonca — Account Executive, Sutter Health & Healthcare
Services Division
- More than 11 years with Benefit & Risk Management Services.
- Was instrumental in developing our relationships with carriers and
establishing our EDI transfer capabilities with Vbas® .
- Specializes in healthcare service provider account management and self
funding operations, including health plan creation, claims administration
and benefit communications.
- Responsible for building relationships with healthcare service provider
clients.
John Bane — VP of Technology & Development
- Over 17 years of IT experience in employee benefits.
- Has custom developed many employee benefit related systems including a medical claims
payment system, eligibility and billing system, and carrier and client system interfaces.
- Extensive hardware and networking experience.
- Oversees all technology and development.
Lisa Simpson — Director of New Business
- Over 25 years of experience in the in the insureance industry including claims afministrastion, eligibility,
marketing, sales and brokerage of employee benefits.
- Degree in Finance and Economics, California State University Sacramento
